National Health Center Week 2020

August 9 and August 15, 2020 – 4-6 pm

In celebration of the National Health Center Week 2020, San Benito Health Foundation, Rotary Club of San Juan Bautista, local businesses, and organizations held the two drive-trough events “Feeding the Frontline, Lighting the way for a healthy community” on August 9th and 15th, 2020. In the total of both events, we were able to serve 1,042 participants, 882 adults, 160 children, and 563 vehicles. We would like to thanks the presence of Alejandra Bologna, General Consul of Mexico in San Jose, and Kayla Klauer, the Assemblymember of California, Robert Rivas’ Representative.

Feeding the Frontline

June 13, 2020 – 4-6 pm

We would like to extend our special thanks to The Rotary Club of San Juan Bautista, Central Coast Clinic Network, El Teatro Campesino, Aromas-San Juan School District, Dole Farms, Mission Café, Taylor Farms, and the United Farm Workers organization for their support and generous contribution to the successful community event “Feeding the Frontline”. At this drive-through event, 214 families were given fresh produce and dry goods. We greatly appreciate the efforts of our partners in making this a successful event! Thank you!

Give Kids A Smile 2020

Please join us on February 7, 2020, from 4:00 pm to 8:00. At this event, we will be offering free dental screenings and fluoride treatment for children from 6 months through 18 years old.

Also will be fun activities, refreshments, and surprises. Dental kits will be given to all participants.


Binational Health Week 2019

October 23, 2019

Binational Health Week is an initiative that started almost twenty years ago, providing the health and well-being of the Latin American migrant population in the United States. The main topics of this mobilization are Chronic diseases, Communicable diseases, Access to health care, Mental health, Women’s health, and Health and Natural Environment.

On October 23, 2019, San Benito Health Foundation had celebrated the “XIX Annual Binational Health Week” at the WIC Facility ubicated at San Juan Bautista. During the event, the SBHF Staff was giving free flu vaccines for children. The participants could enjoy their “esquites” (corn with cheese in a cup) while they saw the Teatro Campesino and “Estrellas de Esperanza” Folkloric Dance Group performance.

At this event, we had the honorable presence of Alejandra Bologna, Consul of Mexico in San Jose, CA, a Mental Health Conference by Roberto Dansie, Cultural Wisdom CEO, and certificates of recognition and proclamations from Kayla Klauer, Assemblymember Robert Rivas’ Representative, Anna Velazquez, Senator Anna Caballero’s Representative, Jaime de la Cruz, San Benito County Supervisor, and Cesar Flores, San Juan Bautista Mayor.

The event includes a guided tour of our newly renovated health center, ribbon cutting, food, entertainment, and fun activities for all ages!

Summer Lunches for children

June 11th – July 26th, 2019

Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm

San Benito Health Foundation is partnering with Hollister School District to provide summer lunches. All children 18 and younger can get a free lunch. No registration is required.
